Hi Yuhan,

Firstly nice work, I’m impressed that you went out of your way to make a video for this blog post! As someone who knows very little about China I wasn’t aware that Chong Qing was the origin of the hot pot.

Some comments, I believe the purpose of this week’s blog post was to be a viral/guerrilla addition to an existing tourism marketing campaign. That being said it would have added to your idea if you expanded on 1) what would make this video viral/guerrilla? And 2) what the existing marketing for Chong Qing is and how the video adds to it.

Your video is very well done, and it successfully spurs my interest in Chongqing. My favorite component of this video is that the background music. It is so unique and cool, which is consistent with Chong Qing’s image as being a modern city with a long history. Meanwhile, it is a wise choice to make this video short and fast-paced as such characteristics will allow it to go viral. It is so as short video only takes a short amount of time which will motivate today’s busy audience to watch it. And the fast-paced video can keep the audiences’ attention.


To the majority of people in Australia, Chong Qing is an unfamiliar city. Therefore, I appreciate your effort…
